Services
Many families and individuals come to HEP lacking access to everything from personal hygiene to medical care. With community partnerships and personalized case management, HEP is able to provide a variety of needed support services.

Keep Encouraging Youth (KEY) to Succeed Program

Provides academic enrichment and social skill building programs that reinforce school-based learning:

  • Academic enrichment, including tutoring
  • Drug- and violence-prevention programs
  • Counseling and character education programs
  • Art, music, and recreation programs
  • Technology education programs

Programming incorporates R’ Club Child Care’s "four R's" - Respect, Responsibility, Resourcefulness, and Responsiveness to the needs of others.

Utilizes Pinellas County School’s Homeless Education Assistance Team (HEAT) for weekly one-on-one tutoring.

Services are provided Monday through Friday in the Learning Center, a newly remodeled facility with state- of- the- art technology including personal computers and a SMART® Board.

The Learning Center is licensed by the state of Florida as a child care facility and is free for all current and former youth residents.
