The Endowment Campaign for HEP “No person was ever honored for what he received. Honor has been the reward for what he gave.” - Calvin Coolidge The HEP Endowment Fund was established in 2003 to honor the Late Rev. Otis C. Green, founder of Everybody’s Tabernacle and HEP. Otis dedicated his life to the mission of helping people help themselves and in doing so, he left an indelible mark on this community. The purpose of the endowment is threefold: to raise awareness of HEP and its history of achievement; to raise awareness that although homelessness is a persistent social challenge, we as a community can do something about it; and last but not least, to provide a legacy of continued care to those less fortunate – an economic base which will allow Otis’ vision to prevail for years to come. The Eckerd Foundation will match gifts to the endowment – on a sliding scale – through 2007.
