The success of HEP is built upon strong leadership, vision and a broad base of community support. Community partnerships help bring much needed services to the residents of HEP, while helping fulfill the mission of HEP. In-kind contributions from collaborations and community partnerships such as these, comprise 41 percent of the annual operating budget for HEP, and help save public funds in a range of emergency systems. Able Body Labor provides jobseekers with onsite job-skills training and full time employment opportunities AARP Foundation places people who are 55 and older into employment at HEP through the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) Directions for Mental Health provides mental health assessment and treatment to residents of HEP Gulf Coast Legal Services provides high quality legal services to eligible residents The Long Center offers recreational scholarships and free swimming lessons to adults and children living at HEP Morton Plant Hospital has placed a full time mental health outreach team at HEP to provide daily crisis intervention and medical outreach services Office of the Public Defender provides individuals and families who are in need of legal counsel with legal outreach services Pinellas County Human Services Mobile Medical Van provides weekly medical outreach services Pinellas County Schools Homeless Education Assistance Team provides after school tutoring and summer educational programming to school age youth residing at HEP St. Petersburg College provides weekly oral hygiene services in our Free Dental Clinic through their dental hygiene program WestCare of Florida provides HEP residents with substance abuse treatment and counseling outreach services Worknet Pinellas provides the residents of HEP with linkages to employment Veteran’s Administration provides weekly homeless veterans outreach services to homeless veterans residing at HEP
